As a Washington wedding photographer, I must say there is nothing like a backyard wedding ceremony. It’s comfortable and familiar, and filled with fond memories. This is exactly the feeling Kurt and Evona wanted for their simple, bucolic wedding. It was held on Kurt’s grandmother’s property in Shelton, WA; the reception held nearby at The Pavillion Hall.
We of course had to also include their gorgeous dog in a few photos as well! Having two dogs myself, I’m always so excited when my couples decide to include their dog as part of the wedding. As we wandered the property, Kurt and Evona picked out some favorite spots which encompassed the long tree-lined driveway leading up to Kurt’s grandmother’s house and areas of wonderful foliage and flowers. Soft pink bridesmaid dresses and tan suits for the groomsmen complemented our rural surroundings and I was enchanted with their pink and white wedding cake.
