Why Should You Elope With Me?

I love to travel. It’s definitely in my blood. I have to admit it is probably my parents’ fault. Growing up, they prioritized travel over getting their carpets replaced, purchasing new vehicles for themselves or even going out to eat. My parents were thrifty. If they could buy something we needed second hand, this was always their first choice. My mom loved scouring thrift stores for almost new baby or toddler clothing, toys, and shoes and as we got older, it was Halloween costumes, school supplies or any other household items we needed.

We were used to living simply; neither set of grandparents had much. My Dad’s parents were missionaries and my grandpa on my mom’s side was a blue-collar worker at a print shop barely making a living wage while his wife was at home raising their four children. They certainly embraced the concept of “less is more” much earlier on than I have. I’m still a work in progress as my credit card bills will attest to.

Let’s Have An Adventure

Throughout our childhood we not just explored different parts of the United States, but we went overseas as well. My Dad traveled a ton for his job so he got airline miles, hotel points and car rental points and my parents utilized all of it so they could give my two sisters and I travel experiences they felt were crucial to our upbringing. Paris, Greece, London, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Italy and more.
